Privacy Policy
Calculator inputs stay in your browser. This page explains the little data we do collect and the choices you have.
Summary
Last updated: October 21, 2026.
ChainSprocketCalc has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising. The values you type into a calculator are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful.
Calculator Inputs
Calculations run locally in your browser. Some calculators let you copy a share link: the link stores your setup in the web address itself. If you send that link to someone, they can see those values. We do not store shared setups on a server.
Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to measure traffic. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as the pages you view, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We use it only to understand and improve the site. We do not use it to identify you personally and we do not combine it with other data.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. The calculators work without analytics.
Hosting and Server Logs
The site is hosted by Vercel, with DNS by Cloudflare. Like most hosts, they process technical request data such as IP address and browser details to deliver pages and keep the service secure. We do not use that data to identify visitors.
If You Email Us
If you write to chainsprocketcalc@outlook.com, we receive your email address and message, and use them only to reply and to review any correction you report. We do not sell or share them.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you and to object to its processing. Because we hold very little, most requests concern data held by Google Analytics, which you can manage in your Google account settings. Email us for anything we hold directly.
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date. Questions? Email chainsprocketcalc@outlook.com.
